Lead singer Caleb Followill asked the crowd to raise glasses to the former Jackass star who was killed in a car accident on Monday, before playing the track McFearless.

The band had also tweeted earlier in the day saying “I’m heartbroken to say that our great friend we made over the last 8 months has passed away. Honestly in shock. Devastated. RIP Ryan Dunn.”

The Leons played to a packed Hyde Park, playing tracks from all five albums as well as favourites “Calafornia Waiting” and “Knocked Up”, for the full set see below.

Joss flew to Nashville to work with celebrated producer and ex Eurythmics star Dave Stewart. Joss said “I had lots of fun making it with Dave. We went to Nashville for like six days and at that end of that jam we found an album in there which is quite cool”.

“It’s because the band was so tight and the studio was so brilliant. They had so many people in there making sure everything was sorted, so many brilliant people involved. Dave was like, ‘Look come over here, it will take a week, we’ll have a laugh. If you don’t like it you don’t have to use it. This band is great, I’ve worked with them, they’ve got a week free,’ and I was like, ‘That sounds like fun.”

Joss told website popeater that both herself and her parents were massive Eurythmics fans but she did not feel intimidated by working with Stewart as she had known him since she was 16 years old.

The album LP1 is set for release on 26th July.

The one off gig in Nice France saw Beyonce play a number of covers which are believed to be part of the set she will be playing when she headlines the festival on the 26th June.

The tracks included The Kings Of Leon’s “Sex Is On Fire” and Queens rock classic “Bohemian Rhapsody” as well as her own versions of Princes “The Beautiful Ones” and a solo cover of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”.

Beyonce has said she is “pumped” to be playing the festival, “This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there. Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend.”
